The Elachista orstadii is a small moth of the Elachistidae family, with a wingspan of 09-10 mm.
In Europe it is present in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Sweden. In Italy it is absent from the islands. *
The front wings of the Elachista orstadii are gray / brownish with light and partial light brown dusting and metallic reflections. More intense dusting in the marginal region, and absent in two areas, in the discal and postdiscal region. The edge is fringed. The hind wings are gray in color, sometimes with a slightly lighter band in the center, strongly fringed.
At the moment I have no other information on the ethology of this species.
